Introduction
TF-201S is an ultra-fine ammonium polyphosphate with low solubility in water, low viscosity in aqueous suspensions, and a low acid number.
It provides excellent flame-retardant properties to adhesives and sealants when added to the base formulation at a rate of 10 – 20%. This product is particularly effective as an “acid donor” in intumescent coatings due to its low water solubility,when applied to steel structures, intumescent paints containing.
TF-201S can meet the fire resistance requirements specified in standards such as EN, DIN, BS, ASTM, and others.
In addition to steel, TF-201S based intumescent coatings can also be used on wood and plastics, allowing these materials to qualify for Building Material Class B (according to DIN EN 13501-1).
Furthermore, TF-201S can be utilized in transport applications to achieve favorable fire, smoke, and toxicity results as per EN 45545. This flame retardant is (bio-)degradable, breaking down into naturally occurring phosphate and ammonia.
It is also non-halogenated and has a favorable environmental and health profile. It is particularly well-suited for flame retardancy in EVA materials.
Applications
1. Used to prepare many kinds of high-efficiency intumescent coating, the flameproof treatment for wood, multistory building, ships, trains, cables, etc.
2. Used as the main flameproof additive for expanding-type flame retardant used in plastic, resin, rubber, etc.
3. Make into powder extinguishing agent to be used in large-area outfire for forest, oil field and coal field, etc.
4. In plastics(PP, PE, etc. ), Polyester, Rubber, and Expandable fireproof coatings.
5. Used for textile coatings.
6. Match with AHP can be used for Epoxy adhesive
